Here are my 3 top tips for surviving Spring Break at Walt Disney World:
1. Prepare for crowds. As stated in a previous blog post, there will be crowds at Disney World. You aren't the only person in the world who wants to go there. That being said, Spring Break is an especially crowded time at Disney. Knowing that it will be crowded will help manage your expectations as to how much you can get accomplished in one day. The longer the lines, the fewer attractions you can visit. Also, on crowded days, the lines for even the fast pass lines are longer. Most of that is due to the fact that people have to get out tickets to scan their fast passes in, but don't freak out when you see an abnormally long FP line!

2. Visit the less popular attractions. If you go to Disney World at other times, use your spring break trip to visit some of the older attractions. You can try to book fast passes for the new, more popular attractions, but pick and choose which ones you are willing to stand in line for. You will get to do a lot more if you go to rides and attractions that have a shorter wait time. At Magic Kingdom, be sure to do the People Mover, the Carousel of Progress, the Mad Tea Party, It's a Small World, the Country Bear Jamboree, Philharmagic, and the Enchanted Tiki Room. At Hollywood Studios, visit Muppet Vision, the Frozen Singalong, the Indiana Jones Stunt Show, and be sure to head to the Incredible Celebration at Pixar Place! At Epcot, catch the movies and cultural demonstrations in the World Showcase! At Animal Kingdom, stay and dance at the Hakuna Matata dance party, see some of the shows, and check out the animals.

3. Be prepared for literally any kind of weather. Pack layers. It's likely to be cool in the morning and evening, and hot in the afternoon. It could be the week Florida decides to have 2nd winter, or it could already be as hot as summer. It's Florida, so it's likely to rain. Pack a poncho (don't wait to buy one at Disney!) 4. Plan ahead. If you want to eat at certain restaurants, book them exactly 180 days in advance. Like get up at 6 am. If you don't want to do that, find a travel agent who will. :) If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, you can book fast passes 60 days in advance of your trip. Everyone else has to wait until 30 days before your trip. Getting some fast passes set up in advance can help you spend less time standing in line.
5. Be flexible. Even with a plan, be willing to be flexible. If you happen to walk by a ride with a short wait time or a character meet and greet with a short line, take advantage of that opportunity! As we were about to get on Pirates of the Caribbean, we saw that Jack Sparrow was out so I got in line while the hubby parked the stroller. We met Jack and then used our fast passes on Pirates! We also saw Pluto as we were coming out of Dinosaur at Animal Kingdom! Be willing to take the 5 extra minutes to take the opportunity that is right in front of you!

6. Use the My Disney Experience app. This app allows you to keep up with your fast pass times, and you can see wait times for all of the rides. It can help you decide which direction to go in the park for shorter wait times. You can also see your My Memory Maker photos in the app as well!
So, those are my tips for surviving spring at Disney World! When is your favorite time of year to go to Walt Disney World?
