It is becoming a family tradition to go to WDW at Christmas and we LOVE it! The Epcot International Festival of the Holidays is our favorite. We also love the awesome Christmas decorations at Disney Springs. Now, I know the other parks are decked out for Christmas as well, and there is even a special Christmas party event, but we just love Epcot for the Holidays.
- The music - Christmas music is playing EVERYWHERE! We happen to love Christmas songs, so this is great for us! There's a Gospel vocal ensemble at the Fountain View Stage. If you are a music lover, it is a must do!
- The Candlelight Processional - every night during the International Festival of the Holidays, there is a mass choir of Disney cast-members who volunteer to sing Christmas carols and a celebrity guest reads the Christmas story from the Bible. It is an amazing experience!
- The food - following on the heels of the Food and Wine Festival, many of the same International food kiosks are transformed into holiday offerings from that country. We especially like the Feast of the Three Kings where we can get traditional Puerto Rican coquito. This year they added a Cookie Stroll, which is a lot of fun for kids!
- The entertainment - We LOVE the World Showcase and learning about each country and culture. At Christmas each pavilion has authentic holiday experiences and storytellers. Our favorites are La Parranda at Mexico and Father Time at the UK Pavilions!
- The Disney "magic" - everything Disney does is top notch - and Christmas is no different. Even Living with the Land is decorated for the holidays!
What 's your favorite place to visit during the holiday season?
Wow! Now I want to go to Epcot at Christmas. Maybe one year. We go to the MNSSHP this year. we are very excited!
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm with you on this one. While I still love the other Parks at Christmas, as well, Epcot does have a very special holiday feel to it that differs from the others. We love the Candlelight Processional, the holiday treats and so much more. There's always something magical about spending the holidays at Walt Disney World.
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to do Disney at Christmas Time! I wish it wasn't so busy. Maybe some year!
